I got my first iPod for my eleventh birthday. It was a white iPod nano, first generation. It held 500 songs, and within a year I had maxed it out. Since that day, I can’t remember a day when I didn’t use my iPod. Now, I have a fifth generation iPod classic, 30 GB. It’s a hand-me-down from North, since my old one died. It’s black, beat up, and plastered with Scooby-Doo stickers. I love it so much, and it is one of my most important electronic devices, ranked right underneath my cell phone (but just barely).
The iPod is the best invention of the twenty-first century. It’s an astounding technological advance, and it’s super convenient. Being able to hold all of your favorite songs in your pocket and listen to them whenever is a very good thing. I can’t imagine going to sleep without listening to my nighttime playlist. Long plane ride without my tunes? No thank you! I live for music, and honestly I think I could live on just books, notebooks, pencils, and music. Without my iPod, I feel like I’m missing a big part of my life. Where would I be if I couldn’t sit lay in my bed and listen to music and sing my songs as loud as humanly possible? I would be in a very sad place, that’s where. My iPod makes sure I’m not stuck in this sad place.
There are four main types of iPods: iPod classic, iPod nano, iPod shuffle and iPod touch. There are six generations of classics, five generations of nanos, three generations of shuffles and three generations of touches. There have been updates and upgrades at an almost insane rate, and still Apple keeps topping itself. The more improvements are made to old models, the more I am astounded. They not only hold songs, they play music videos, tv shows, movies and games. They can make playlists to fit the mood you’re in. The newest nanos can shoot video, and the touches connect to the internet. iPods are pure genius, and I, for one, could never ever in a zillion years live without mine!
Real Teen Rating~ Sliced bread, step aside!
