Wavin’ Flag is a song I randomly stumbled upon while surfing through iTunes one day (because i was bored). I’m really glad I found it because it is rapidly becoming one of my current favorite songs!
First of all, Wavin’ Flag is to benefit the people of Haiti, whose lives and homes were turned into total disaster zones after the earthquake hit. The song has t-shirts and stickers and other fun little things that can be purchased, and the money goes to Haiti. That in itself is pretty cool.
The song is also really amazing. It’s one of those songs that gets stuck in your head and doesn’t let go of your brain for hours, but it’s ok because even after hours it’s still catchy. The lyrics are really powerful, and the chorus is something that i think about a lot, because it sort of sparks something inside me that makes me think. The song was actually remixed, and is being used as an ‘anthem’ (sort of) for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. I’m glad it’s starting to get recognition, because it is so good!
The most epic part about this whole song is the fact that it brought so many artists together. I don’t know if it’s from the cause or the song or what, but there are so many different singers all working together in this song. It makes me shiver a little just listening to what all these talented people can do when they all work with each other, and it makes me wonder why it isn’t done more often.

This song is great, both musically and otherwise. The power singers have is really pretty high, and it’s nice to see them putting their talents to a good cause, and creating something beautiful from it!
