I don’t own an eBook, but this little story was included in my copy of Wake, so I read it. It wasn’t very long, for one (probably fourteen, fifteen pages)but it was interesting to hear things from someone other than Janie. This wasn’t like some secret-revealing minibook. But it was a chance to see inside the mysterious mind of Cabel. It was refreshing and very different from Wake despite the same plot and characters.
Real Teen Rating~ B : Read it but there’s no rush.

First of all, is an eBook like a Nook or a Kindle? How many different versions of this portable not-a-book book thing can we possibly make? Well whatever it is, I don’t own one. But, like Dream, Cabel’s Story was in the back of my copy of Wake. So I read it. Duh. I loved that McMann gave the reader a point of view other than Janie. I always liked Cabel more than Janie anyway, so I really enjoyed reading some of the inner workings of Cabel. So to speak. I also liked how it wasn’t just day by day, it had flashbacks to events that Janie talked about too. Reading the same events from different perspectives is always really appealing to me. So yea, if you’ve read Wake, this is worth looking into.
P.S. that picture is amazing. a-ma-zing.
Real Teen Rating~ B+ : Wait for vacation.
